Celebrate the Child

“CELEBRATE THE CHILD – A FRESH LOOK AT THE NATIVITY”

ctc-group-text-parchment

“An ‘instant’ but highly professional Christmas program.”

This delightfully touching drama is perfect for the Advent/Christmas season. Celebrate the Child blends six different characters (each reflecting on the birth of Christ) with thematically chosen Christmas carols sung by the congregation or audience.

You decide how much or how little your congregation, group or organization will contribute to the program.  Jonathan leads the entire presentation (with your pianist) or he works with you to include your volunteer musicians, children’s elements, etc.. Very little work, time or energy is required by your staff or volunteers, yet a deeply-moving experience is had by all.  One pastor called it  “one of our church’s best Christmas programs ever.”
Written by Curt Cloninger and performed with his permission, Celebrate the Child works well for Sunday worship; youth & family events; community organizations and businesses; annual Christmas parties, dinners/banquets; weekend outreach events for the community; fellowship events, dinner theatre or just about any setting where you are looking for a fun, unique and meaningful Christmas celebration.

“We have enjoyed the ministry of Jonathan Swenson on numerous occasions. Each time his humor, skill as an actor, love for Jesus and talent has made it a memorable event in the life our parishioners.  It is uncommon at our church to have an unconventional ministry like acting be a solid hit.  But, I get asked frequently to bring Jonathan back for an encore performance.  His messages are true to the spirit of the Gospel and a blessing to all ages.”  - Corey Bjertness, Senior Pastor, First Lutheran, Fargo ND (Host for Celebrate the Child in 2013)

Note: This program does tend to get booked quickly for the month of December, so you are encouraged to reserve your date early in the year.
